Perfect family holiday with the most amazing sunsets!!

We are a family with three children (13, 8, and 4) who now live overseas, but return to Minnesota each summer to visit family and friends. We are not comfortable staying such a long time with family, and hotels are much too small and confining. So, both this summer and last summer, we rented a lake cottage. All I can say is that it has been such an amazing experience. We stayed for a month and we thoroughly enjoyed every day we had together.

We felt at home the minute we walked in the door. The management has thought of everything to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Every amenity was provided, from the beach towels stacked by the back porch, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the huge selection of indoor and outdoor games and toys. We had bicycles with helmets in the garage waiting for us and we enjoyed daily bike rides around the quiet neighborhood. My children and their cousins and friends were so busy playing in the lake and in the front yard, that they rarely turned on a television or ipad in an entire month. My husband woke up every morning and went fishing off the end of the dock with our 4 year old daughter, and to my delight, even cleaned and cooked the fish for us for dinner. My sons and I had kayak races back and forth along the lake. My family and friends came to visit us regularly and we had several family barbeques. There was no fighting about whose house we should stay at during our vacation, because everyone wanted to stay with us! I honestly treasure the time we spend at the house and am so happy to pass on the Minnesota lakes summer experience to my own children.

We felt safe and relaxed and enjoyed each others company so much. Cindy was always available and helpful and we really didn't have any concerns or problems during our stay. The shops and restaurants were just minutes away so we didn't have to drive forever for a gallon of milk. Best of all, we were literally 30 minutes to downtown! We had plenty of time to see friends, go to the mall, and visit downtown restaurants, and still be home for an evening swim. The sunsets were breathtaking and we have made a massive canvas enlargement of a picture I took of the sunset from the dock that now hangs on our wall here in Dubai. I smile every time I see that picture.

I highly recommend this cottage to families visiting from out of town or just wanting to "be at the lake" for a while. I will never stay at another hotel in the cities again!

Thank you Cindy!!

Upper Midwest Thanksgiving

We rented this lovely Moon Song cottage where our family could gather for a traditional Midwest Thanksgiving holiday. I was little nervous at first since the Moon Song cottage didn't have any previous reviews. After speaking with the manager (Cindy), she explained that the house just became vacation rental. She assured us that she wouldn't advertise the Moon Song cottage unless was vacation ready. Cindy manages other vacation properties in the area, all with five star VRBO reviews. The Moon Song cottage was very cute and has a spectacular view of Spring Lake. It is also very clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our traditional holiday meal. We spent the weekend playing games, shopping at the Mall of America and one night seeing a concert at Mystic Lake Casino. Cindy does a great job and made our stay very pleasant. We are looking forward to booking this lovely cottage again this summer. It was a huge hit with everyone!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My husband and I are originally from the Twin Cities and now retired in Southern Florida. Our children reside in the Twin Cities along with many other relatives. We recently sold our home in the Twin Cities and are now "full time" residents in Florida. Instead of bouncing from one relatives home to another for the different holiday celebrations we decided to book the Moon Song cottage. Wow, what pleasant surprise. The Moon Song cottage is very clean and had all the amenities we needed for the celebration. The manager even decorated the Moon Song cottage with a Christmas tree and stockings over the fireplace for our grandchildren. We hosted Christmas dinner and a New Year's celebration and kitchen had everything we needed. Some of our grandkids stayed with us while their parents were working. We built puzzles, played board games, baked cookies, sledding, skiing and toured the Children's Science Museum together. It was great! Renting the Moon Song cottage is great alternative to owning homes in both Minnesota and Florida. We are going to book a two week stay again next year.

Awesome house & great experience

We stayed last week and the property was absolutely amazing, not to mention a breathtaking lake view! This house is stocked with everything you could possibly need from toiletries to games & toys - I'm the mom of 5 kids so we really appreciated all of the extra towels! :-) The warming floors in the bathrooms were an awesome touch! The property owner is wonderful to work with, during the stay we had a small plumbing issue but no worries - she had someone out & fixing it within 30 minutes! If only the weather would have held out & not snowed, otherwise we could have enjoyed more of the outdoor amenities! We would love to plan a future stay during the summer.

Business Trip - Felt like a vacation!

I had a business trip along with an associate for 1.5 weeks in the twin cities. We both travel frequently for our jobs and tire of the business hotel and restaurant scene. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable and it was a spectacular view. The cottage has wireless internet so when we didn't have to be at the client site we could spread out and work from there. Cindy is great, on our day off she was able to arrange tickets to a sporting event and had her son teach us how to ice fish (something neither have ever done).
